Jacob E. Petersen joined Mortgage Cadence in 2010 and currently leads the Customer Solutions and Document Center Operations teams to ensure quality service and document products tailored to individual client needs. He is responsible for prioritizing resources to ensure unparalleled client service and consistency with strategies and customer commitments, while mitigating operational risk through use of policies, guidelines, metrics, technology usage and templates.
With over 13 years in the mortgage industry, Jacob has experienced firsthand the RESPA 2010 changes, TRID, and the continued push for automation. Prior to joining Mortgage Cadence, Jacob was the Quality Control Specialist – Country Home Loans at Farm Credit Services of America. There, he was responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving the Quality Control Program for mortgage loans and led cross-functional workgroups to implement new regulations and determine optimal workflow for the origination process. Jacob has also served as the Compliance Operations Manager for Clayton, a due diligence firm, helping provide guidance on mortgage lending regulations to creditors and secondary market participants.
Jacob holds an MBA as well as Bachelor of Science in Finance and Economics from Wayne State College. In addition, Jacob has received recognition throughout the industry, including 2016’s HousingWire Rising Star award and in 2014’s Young Guns award by Mortgage Professional America.
