The Mortgage Bankers Association announced the leadership and membership of its Residential Technology Steering Committee, known as RESTECH.
Chris Burckhardt, senior vice president and chief information officer of Pulte Mortgage, was named RESTECH chairman; Rob Lux, CMT, chief architecture officer of GMAC Financial Services, was named vice chairman.
"MBA is pleased to announce the leadership and membership of the RESTECH committee," said MBA Vice President of Industry Technology Harry Gardner. "We truly appreciate the time and commitment our leadership continues to demonstrate to industry technology within the mortgage banking industry. We look forward to working with them over the coming year as we focus on the central role of industry technology in solving today's real-world business challenges."
RESTECH is the technology steering committee for MBA's residential members, responsible for identifying and vetting strategic and tactical issues in mortgage technology and making recommendations for policies and initiatives involving technology to MBA's Residential Board of Governors and the BODTECH steering committee.
Additionally, MBA's Residential Technology Providers Forum continues its work in 2008-2009. This forum, which provides a voice for the industry's residential technology software and services providers, is dedicated to identifying, vetting and communicating pertinent technology related issues to the mortgage industry. Chris Christensen, attorney with PiersonPatterson LLP/Loan Docs, and Gabe Minton, chief operating officer with Mortgage Cadence, were named co-chairs of the forum. Andy Young, president of Effective Mortgage Systems, will serve as special assistant to the co-chairs.
